If you are reading this, you’ve likely found your way to my new magazine section, AICI Living. I wanted to write a quick note to welcome you and explain what this space is all about.
I sometimes hear people say that looking at beautiful AI interiors is “just looking at pretty pictures.” And in a way, they are right. They are pretty. But I believe they are also much more than that.
The hardest part of interior design isn’t buying the furniture—it’s knowing what you want in the first place.
That is where AICI Living comes in. My goal with this magazine isn’t to come to your house and paint your walls for you (though I can certainly help you plan it!). My goal is to unblock your creativity.
When you see a “Before and After” here, I don’t want you to look at it with envy. I want you to look at it with a detective’s eye. Ask yourself: Why does that green wall work with that sofa? Why does that lighting make the room feel bigger?
I created this space to be your visual playground. A place where you can find the idea that makes you say, “Aha! That is what my living room needs.”
So, please, have a look around. Read the articles. Use the colour tools. Steal ideas. The “help” you find here is the spark of inspiration that starts your project.
